Hi Liam-

That's great to hear that you enjoy reading a variety of books and genres. That's the better kind of reader to be.

I like your connection between Benedict Arnold and The Mysterious Benedict Society. Sadly I don't believe they are really connected, but maybe you will read to find out!

It sounds like Ben in Spy School is kind of a troublemaker. Or at least he doesn't really mean to make trouble but ends up causing problems. I can think of a lot of characters who are like this in books. Maybe even Teddy in Poached who always seems to find himself in some kind of predicament.

Since you are reading another book by Stuart Gibbs, have you noticed any similarities between how he writes two different series- Fun Jungle and Spy School? or do any of the characters seem similar?

Have you kept up with reading Found?

Your friend,
Mrs. P

I do not think adventure book's are my favorite kind because I do not know what my favorite kind of book is yet I mostly read a verity of different kinds of books.

I have a guess that The Mysterious Benedict Society is going to be about the Benedict Arnold the owner of west point in Sophia's War. It may explain more about him so it say why he was going or is selling west point. The book H.I.V.E is reminding me of the book I am reading called Evil Spy school Ben got expelled for launching a Live shell by accident it a large building but he did it to save the students lives. He later goes to an evil spy school.

and thats all I have to tell you about this story I do not want to give away the other parts that I read.

Hi Liam-

Thanks for telling me more about Spy School. I see what you mean that the kind of missions they go on don't sound much like what Sophia is up to in our read aloud. I think that Sophia's spying might be more life or death then Ben's.Your description reminds me a little bit of a two other former MCBA series that you might like to check out.

One is called The Mysterious Benedict Society and the other is H.I.V.E. (Higher Institute of Villainous Education) Both books involve kids going to mysterious schools where genius kids learn to do amazing things.

Would you say that adventure kind of books are one of your favorites to read?

Mrs. P

Dear Team 7,

Good Job getting started doing wiki and RAZ.

Remember on your wiki-

 1. Please write like its a letter- Date, Greeting, Body, Closing, Signature

 2. Make sure to write about one book only (unless you are writing multiple paragraphs

 3. YOU MUST use sentence leads from the pink sheet in your response. These will help me see your thinking about what you are reading.

Use your time wisely during Reading block and you'll be able to get these done at school!

Thanks,

Mrs. P

YOU TYPE HERE…Spy school is mostly about ben Ripley. He is very good at math and one day a person he does not know comes to his house. He told him that he could be a spy if he wanted to. Ben said yes but the spy also told him he could not tell anybody besides people in his school.

I do not think that the spy's in spy school are like the spy's in Sophia's War.Beacuse in spy school they go on more modern day type of mission with more high-tech wepon's and in the book we are reading it is less modern day.

I do not know if I would be a spy I probly would but I do not know it looks fun but its hard.

Hi Liam-

Thanks so much for writing me back and of including a few books on your book log. I see that you are reading Spy School which I think is by the same author as Poached. I'd been very curious to hear more about that book. I'm also wondering if the spies in that book are anything like the ones during the American Revolution in Sophia's War. We are just getting to the part in the book where Sophia is about to take a big risk and become a spy. I think a lot of people like the idea of adventure that spies do, but I don't think I would ever have the guts to be a real spy. Do you think you could do it?

Talk to you soon,
Mrs. P:)

In the book shophia's war thae aourthor got me interested when.We first started the book becouse the british had found a american spy named nathan hale. They hung him and they did not give him a bible to read. That shows how hard it was to be a spy a that time in hstor. you had to be really well traind in things like camoflge and descises.

Dear Room 7 student,

I am glad that I am reading Sophia's War__ out loud to you. I enjoyed reading it this summer and think it is making a great read aloud, It is a challenging book, with many old fashioned and difficult words so I think this may have been challenging for many of you to read on your own.

*The author Avi got me really interested when he ended Part One of the book with Sophia ready to seek revenge for the death of her brother William. I have been giving you some hints about what might happen. I will tell you that working at the print shop is key to what Sophia will do next and how she will get even with John Andre, whom she blames for not helping her brother.**If I could talk to Sophia, I would ask her if she is afraid to go after Andre.

What do think will happen next?

Talk to you soon,
Mrs. P:)

Dear Room 7 member-

You and write will write back and forth to each other about what we have been reading.
I will ask you questions that you can answer, and you can ask me questions too.

Make sure to always write about ONE book and to use SENTENCE LEADS to help you with
your thinking.

Mrs. P
